I gotta make a decision in about 48 hours between a USED Lava or a NIB Boker Subcom.

Which is best?

Easiest/quickest to draw from clipped to pocket into using position?
Coolness?
Usefullness?
Construction?
Steel?
Sheeple-friendliness?
Strength?
Best edge?
Warranty?
Resale value?
Anything else you can think of!
Best to take on a plane? (TSA says you can take small knives on planes now.)
Best to take on vacation as a primary knife?
Best to whip out and cut something in front of an uptight boss or employees?
Best to help you escape from a kidnapping?
Best to help you get out of a locked room?
Best for self defense in a pinch?

Thanks!

Best to take on a plane? (TSA says you can take small knives on planes now.) Subcom, it looks like a small pager
Best to take on vacation as a primary knife? subcom, if you lose it so what
Best to whip out and cut something in front of an uptight boss or employees? subcom, it is tiny and looks like a pager...
Best to help you escape from a kidnapping? Subcom, kidnapper won't see/feel it as easily...you ninja :)
Best to help you get out of a locked room? lava would take more prying abuse
Best for self defense in a pinch? subcom for some lava for others

I voted for the Subcom, it carries to well. The Lava doesn't fit the hand of everyone very well.

I have and use both.

The Lava is soundly better in every catagory except for coolness, which is subjective, and self defense which I would give the nod to the Subcom for.

Lava, the boker frame doesn't project far enough to easily disengage the framelock, so lava was the best choice.
