Actually, the trip wasn't that quick. Set off at mid day, didn't get back to the car until 9:00pm. The reason why - the fantastic views. Just spent the day lazing away and watching the world go by.
The trek started off badly. It was extremely misty and there was light rain. Visibility was down to about 50 feet. I have taken many trips up, and have never really had a proper clear day at the top to enjoy the views. With us, was my good buddy Peter and his dogs. I was desperate for the mist to clear as this was Peter's first time. It was going to be a difficult hike for him as he has 2 dodgy knees. When we got to the top, it was still misty, but fortunately, within 15 minutes, the mist had totally cleared.
Finally, 2 tired dogs having a power nap before resuming the journey home.
