Hey everyone!

Today i was working in the wood shop and saw a 10 inch solid steel (not carbibe tipped) circular saw blade on the wall that didnt fit any of the saws in the shop. As a scavenger knife maker i immediately thought oooo that would be nice to cuts some blanks out of.

Being as i have recently started thowing knives, i decided to make a set of three small knives that are similar to a set i saw on the Gil Hibben website,
http://www.knifecenter.com/item/UCG...fame-throwing-knife-set-leather-sheath-gh2034.

I cut the shape out with a plasma cutter and the clamped the three together and ground them untill they were the same shape. I didnt need to heat treat them because the blade already has a decent heat treat right from the store. I ground a quick edge on them and then they were ready to throw.

They work very well for the way i throw, which is the no spin over hand method

Here is a link to some pictures of them,

They are about 6 and a half inches long, there is a loonie beside one in a photo for a visual comparison.

I would really love to hear if anyone knows what type of steel these blades are made out of, the sparks looked around 1085 or so.

Thanks for reading my post! Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
