Made this Kydex stealth sheath today,
The idea was to make a non-threatening, non-tactical looking sheath to carry the B-D as a work tool in civilized society. What do you think?

I'm really starting to like these square bottom designs--less sexy but more utility. :)

Well, gee whiz  ... The short answer is - I make a paper pattern, cut the Kydex to shape, heated it with an electric heat-gun (hairdryer on steroids) and formed it around the knife, re heating as necessary until I liked the fit. drilled 1/4" holes, and used a setting tool to install the eylets (I think Tandy leather sells inexpensive ones, various knifemaker supply companies have better ones for pros, they also sell Kydex about $6 a sq. foot).
The long answer is - make a lot of knife sheaths until you figure out the tricks.
Search the forums. Pendentive has a very thourough tutorial on the HI forum for making a big Kydex and leather sheath for a khukuri.
Hope this helps :)

That's the right idea....practice makes perfect.

Are my eyes fooling me, or is the sheath folded over the edge?

Yes, it is. I don't know which would be safer, but i doubt if it matters much. What's your take, Dan?

Probably better the way you did it - so the edge doesn't get near the rivets.
