How To Quiet Carry Drift G10 too tight?

I just received a quiet carrydrift in g10. It’s super hard to open. I tried to loosen the pivot screw but then the knife blade goes off center.

Is there anyway to loosen the detent while keeping the blade centered?

Yeah, wrong sub-forum….

However, have you tried loosening the pivot screw along with loosening (not taking out) the other screws?

If not, try that. And while they are all loosened, wedge a Q-Tip or something similar to center the blade. Then tighten the pivot screw, but not completely, then tighten all of the other screws completely.

It's the initial movement (detent) or full movement to open (friction from the action) that's the problem?

for the price if it won't open in a suitable way maybe the only recourse is to send it back
