quiet-ing a blower!

Hi all,

I tried looking around for a solution to this, but does anyone know how to dampen the sound an airmattress blower produces? Right now its louder than the actual pounding of metal itself! Any input is helpful, thanks

Piston/diaphragm type compressor or high volume fan/blower type?

Car camping with electric -hook-ups?

Options/ideas, if car camping, are:

-High volume bellows type foot pump or high volume exercise ball pump.
-Use a hair dryer where electricity is available. Still loud but much faster. Very inexpensive at goodwill or Salvation Army stores.
