So, this last weekend I hit a thousand posts on this forum, and amusingly, my thousandth post was me responding to a sale thread in the Exchange. Yes, that's right, my 1,000 post was me purchasing another knife, which seems fitting. Well, since I managed to get my hands on a knife I'd wanted (a Kershaw Thermite), I figured I'd host a give-away. I've managed to meet a lot of great folks on this board in my short time here so far, and I've made real friends. Furthermore, I've gained a TON of knowledge on knives I didn't have before, and have bought a lot of beautiful steel since I've been a member (many from the aforementioned friends I've made!). So, without further ado, let's get to the good part: THE KNIVES. I have two knives that are going to go to new homes, and while they aren't super expensive, these are two knives that show that you don't have to spend a ton of cake in order to get a quality blade that will last you for years. So, let's see what's on the stand!

1. Orange ESEE Zancudo

2. Orange Ontario RAT II

Here they are together for the last time, let's wish them well with their new owners to be!!!

Both are more or less new. I carried the RAT II for maybe a day or two, can't even tell (yes, I could have cleaned the blade better for the picture, hush).

Terms:

Anyone is welcome to join! Any member, new or old, of any member level. New members, old members, Moderators, Knifemakers, doesn't matter. If you and I have argued in some thread in the past, forget all that, doesn't matter, please join in, maybe you'll win! One post per person, please is all I ask. In case you're curious, each knife will go to a different person. The first person I pick (using Random.org) will receive their pick of the two, and the runner up will receive the other. So, one post per person.

However, that one post? I'd like you to post a picture of your favorite orange knife if you have one! And if not, that's ok too! Post up a pic of your favorite EDC knife instead! I LOVE knife photography, who doesn't?

I will pick a winner on Monday June 2nd, that way the winners will have their new blades before the end of the week! Awright gang, aaaaannnndddd

GO!

Awwwwwright! It's that time! The winners for this GAW are....drum roll please....Random.org has spoken and the winners are:

Winner #1 - Spyder328
Winner #2 - K.O.D.

Congratulations, you two!!!! I am sending Spyder a message right now. Whichever knife he chooses, K.O.D. will get the other. Both of these little blades are great, so you guys will love 'em!

Congrats on a 1000 posts, and thanks for a cool giveaway, very generous of you.

I don't have any orange knives, and I don't even have a single favorite, but this is high on my list.

And a better shot, with another favorite...

Today's EDC and one of my favorites:

If I had a favorite orange knife (I actually want some cool orange ones) It'd be the Bucklite large in orange but, the clip isn't reversible :/ So I haven't gotten one yet.

Congrats on the 1,000!

I don't own any orange knives yet but I have my Kershaw Shallot with an orange and toxic green back spacer I made :D

Oh and here is a little G-10 kiridashi thing I made when I got bored one day lol

I'm in, I've always wanted to try either of those, thanks for the generous giveaway and congrats on the milestone.

Here's a little D-2 Skinner by Nathan the Machinist with Osage Orange Scales.

Osage makes for beautiful scales.

Nathans knives are hair poppin' scary sharp and his knives are well bananced and comfortable to use.

My neighbor borrowed last year and processed 3 deer with it before havin' to strop it to tune the edge up.

Osage is a very flexible wood, the Native Americans used it to make Long Bows for huntin'. :{

I do have to point out there is a small inclusion in the scale, Nathan woudn't sell it because it wasn't perfect but he was generous enough to give it away in a contest, Thanks Natan, I still have and will keep forever the knive it's a beautiful example of your work, thanks.

Very Generous! I'm new to knives so I don't have an Orange one yet. Here is my EDC:

I don't have any orange handled knives, but I have an affection for it's vibrant warmth....

Thanks for the opportunity, it's a breath of fresh air surfing these threads... Not only is there a wealth of knowledge, the caliber of folks on here are about as good as it gets...

Thanks for the chance. I'd be happy to give either of those a new home with this guy:

I'm in. I don't own an orange knife right now, but I do have a picture of my current favorite knife. This knife is beyond used, it's practically beat up and has a late lockup now. She just keeps chugging.
