I finally got this done after quite a few pauses. Damascus is a twisted Ws variant. I made the billet back in 2014 or 2015 in the shop of Boatbuilder Boatbuilder during the year I was in Canada. It sat waiting to be tiled out and rewelded until recently, when I took it over to the shop of another friend (Robert George) here in Austin, TX. We decided to twist it instead, and I forged the blade out of most of the resulting material. All of the fittings for the knife and sheath are bronze, which I had powder coated at a local shop as an experiment. They did an outstanding job, and I really couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. Handle is African Blackwood with fine silver wire. Sheath is wrapped in goat skin I bought in Tanzania back in 2007 or so. If you want to see it in person and/or take it home with you, it'll be with me at Blade Texas, table 5K.

That's Just Awesome! Looks like a lot of Love went into making it, nice work.

Absolutely stunning usage of *simple* facets. Even the ring has a ridge.

I see what you did there. They are everywhere.

The powder coating is bold and it really makes a MORE powerful statement.

15 years in preparation....!
