This is another that is going to Boise with me. I made one similar to this for my JS test and have always wanted to make one in Damascus. This is my first knife with a Damascus blade and fittings. The blade, guard, and buttcap are 200 layers of 1084/15N20 laddered. The spacers are .035 NS with twist 1084/15N20. Blade length is 9 7/8" with Sheffield clip, OAL 15". The handle is stabilized African Blackwood with quilting and domed ss pins in a takedown design. Hope you all like it.

I'll be taking photo's of my other knives today. Please forgive these lousy photo's and the ones to follow.:barf:

Very nice Mike.
Lot's going on there and every aspect benefits the overall in my opinion.

That is a tremendously elegant bowie - very well done indeed.

Mike sent me the pictures of this knife last weekend to ask my thoughts on a couple of things he was not sure about as soon as I saw it I thought WOW!!!
I got the one he made for JS test which is very similar except it's not done in damascus,
It's an awesome piece too. I told him if he does'nt sell it in Boise to put my name on it to go in my collection.

Just terrific. Everything is superb, but the fittings are the icing on the cake. Love it.

Man, that's some fine look'n work my friend!!!

I'm still amazed you found that piece of wood all shaped like that at a yard sale.

:p ;) :D

Looks like the primer trick really helped guide some already very talented hands, as that fluting looks PERFECT!

Super bowie, Mike. One to be proud of. I'll bet it doesn't come back with you from Boise. Hope the show goes well for you.

Mike that is really nice I love all the pins in the handle . Good luck at the show

Thanks for all the kind words.

Nick, I didn't get the handle at a yard sale. I bought it new in the quilted, stab. African Blackwood with domed pins isle at the Walmart.:D
