CONGRATULATE ME! I quit biting my fingernails after...
Oh, I don't know... my whole life.

I can open nail-nick-opening knives for the first time!

SO...

I gotta get one!

What should I get?

I'll probably only get one and carry it only as a secondary knife, besides my usual 'tactical folder', just for fun.

I'm thinking $65 or less + shipping.

I'm thinking something that just came out this year would be appropriate.

Something special or interesting. I have no idea.

Quality. At least two blades.

Not a Swiss Army - I already have some that I can open with my hands for the first time.

Something that I can carry bouncing around in my front pocket with my money clip and cell phone.

Something short/small enough that I won't hate having in my front pocket would be nice.

Suggestions?

Queen slipjoint with D2 blades. Even the MOP versions can be had in your price range.

IMHO, Queen Cutlery or Schatt & Morgan make some of the best slips. As far as model/type of slip. . . .that's a personal preference, but take a look at their Dr. knives ! :D

What they said. Check out Cumberland knife works, they have lots of special runs of Queen and Schatt & Morgan. Congratulations on defeating a lifelong habit.

I am a fan of the stockman pattern, I recommend a simple inexpensive medium stockman to start with such as Schrade Middleman, tough Delrin handles and a selection of blades that you will find handy. If you want to spend more for something nicer with better steel, then you can get a Queen as others have said.

Go for the Queen MOP, they are D2 and really great.

Now that you have fingernails, you won't be needing those autos anymore.
Send 'em over---I still bite my nails. :D

Then (at least if you were here in Maryland), you could hunt deer with a crossbow if you wanted to... :D

Peace.
