Quite possibly the BEST day ever???

Ok, this morning i got word I won the LE bk10 from knife rights, and even for not being a religious man, its not hard to feel blessed and all warm and fuzzy inside..... Im just speechless really (in hindsight thats pretty impossible on an internet forum)

But, to compound that awesomeness, I had a few things waiting at my door today (and on friday). First up, Arks contest prize, a becker remora. I tell ya what i never even thought about this little knife but it sure seems handy and easy to conceal if need be. Since i cant check the FAQ while im typing this, whats the steel on this little guy? Im guessing some type of stainless..... Next up is my bk11 sheath from Goose. 4 weeks in the making and my god is it worth the wait. Just flat out GORGEOUS craftsmanship. Ive already been experimenting with scout vs vertical carry with it, and added my monstrous firesteel that actually looks great on it and is a nice snug fit. Kudos Goose... Lastly is a bk5. This one makes me angry and happy at the same time. Im not going to mention names but a certain knife shop on a ridge in Latrobe, PA has a tendency to take your money THEN state the knife is on backorder. Well this bk5 order was SUPPOSED to be cancelled, but since they dont reply to email, well it showed up....6 weeks after the initial order. So to say the least im a lil PO'ed but whatever its not the mag camps fault so i dressed her in micarta and took some sexy pics. Also pictured is my gifted bk7 with micarta, thanks again jon.

So best day ever or what??? I will say this, Ive pretty much used my luck up for the year in this week alone.

Couldn't agree more. Seems like the best day ever man, congrats :).

From what I've seen around here, you've been more than willing to help others when they're down, so I don't think the prizes could have gone to anyone more deserving of them.

EDIT: Does this mean you can dual wield BK5's now? (with the passaround)

Congrats on the 10! It's my favorite becker by far. I think the Remora is one of those knives you never think of a use for until you actually get one, I use mine for all sort of little stuff.

Remora is 440A Stainless. I love mine! Such a great knife for $20.

Congrats man. Couldn't have gone to a better home, I'm sure :) And with all your troubles, glad to hear your collection got such a good improvement.
 
Dude that deal with the knife shop burns me. Those fricking guys need to take the "we ship the next day!" off and change it to "it might be weeks until we ship this thing!" I can't believe they sent you an order you wanted to cancel. They have such a sterling reputation on these boards... until you start digging.

Anyway, glad to see your collection growing again.

Yeh, that bk11 with micarta i gave away was another cancelled order that arrived. Apparently if you use paypal they dont ever cancel your orders, but if you pay by credit card they do. But whatever i just wont shop there no more. I cant believe how fast its begun to look up again. I was worried i was gonna have just a bk11 for a long time

Looks like you got quite a haul from the delivery guy. Those BK5's do look tempting....
