I have been collecting knives for several years now and one knife has seemed to never make it's way into my collection, untill now. The knife I speak of is the Spyderco Delica. I recived the plain ege version for christmas and absolutly love this knife. The blade is an excellent shape with great edge geometry. The handle fits my hand better than some knives I own that cost 5 times as much. The clip is perfect, can be used on left or right side, has a lanyard hole. The Spyderco hole makes opening a breeze. The ATS-55 blade cuts and cuts while keeping a shaving edge. This knife is in my eyes probably the best production folder ever to make it's way into my hands. At 35.00 this knife can not be beat. What are your thoughts, is this knife just amazing or have I not handled enough knives. Can you guys think of a better folders at a comprable price.

At that price range you have a great argument! The Delica and Endura are legends of cutlery which will endure far into the next century.

I still have my first Endura. It has been around the world many times, been through airborne school then received its foreign jump wings, and has been shot at a time or two. Sure it limps a little, is missing an eye, and drools a bit, but I still love the little guy. When those special boxes come from the mailman or the UPS guy, he is the one who owns the right to slit the tape and open the box. He is the first to meet his newly arrived edged brethren. Sniff.

Mine cost more than $35, but the Delica is still a great knife, even if cost is not an issue. All things considered, the Delica/Endura series is tops in my book. Good steel that takes and keeps a great edge, comfortable handles, convenience of carry, complete ambidexterity, ease of deployment, and of course Sal Glesser and Co.

I have lots of good knives to choose from, and whatever else I may be carrying on a given day, I always seem to have a Delica or Endura--usually both--on my person.

I absolutely love my Delica. It was my first knife and is well used. It finds it's way into my pocket more often than knives costing many times more.

I couldn't agree more! I've got a few and, I've given away many as gifts.

I've had mine for a year now. Its the best folder I have ever used. I just wish the handle ws G10. Add a multi tool to go with it and your ready for anything that comes your way. I couldn't believe how sharp it was out of the box. It isn't hard to keep that sharp either.
Anyone looking for a daily use folder that doesn't have a delica. Get one. You won't be sorry.

Fix it right the first time, use Baling Wire !

The Delica was the first Spydie of mine, and I was fortunate enough to have bought it straight from Sal himself which made it all the more special.
Quite a handful for the money, no question about that!

Three cheers and a tiger for the Delica!

I bought one several years ago and loved it so much I traded for a second. I discovered the value of a one-hand opener while 50 feet above a roof hanging onto a broadcast tower. The Delica did what I needed. Only on rare occaisions am I without my original Spyderedge Delica and at those times I supplement with my 50/50 or my Spyderedge Endura.

I recently just bought an Endura also and I too believe it is the greatest knife ever concieved. A true legend.(Nicely put Mike)

There is no doubt that the delica and endura revolutionized the knife industry. Definately alot of bang for your buck.

You know I must have over a dozen Spyderco's and the Delica is always the one I never get around to buying, I love my Endura, but in most situations for me the delica would be a better choice (size etc...). I will have to go ahead and pick one up!

Another that I think is tops though is the SS Hunter model. They should bring that one back into production!
