Tax return came today. Can't decide whether to put it towards tuition, or buy more gear. Guess I'll can do both if I'm able to control myself...

Well, if you're smart then it would go to tuition. But if you're having to ask this question I'm not sure if you will understand this :D

I like to spend part of my tax return on fun stuff and part of it being responcible. Got my return on the 25th. Bought some clothes, gear, food, Paid part of my student loan and some bills for the month, then manages to put $300 in the bank towards next semesters tuition. Paid off my loan with my paycheck that came last week.

My recommendation is have a little fun, but leave most of the money for school. I tend to spurge to much if I don't go out and have fun once in a while. ;)

I think I dun good. Had izula, e&e wallet, and the -3 in the cart. Put the -3 back. Tough to do, but now I got plenty left over to put towards school. After all, there's usually next time... :D

Good choice. I know its hard to not just buy whatever you want with the "free money". Plus, when you do end up with the 3 it'll be that much sweeter.

I think you made the right choice. You got to get something fun and useful and be responsible.

Turbinium, try the 50-50 I raised my children with. 50% in the bank, 50% in your pocket. All three are now in their late 20's & early 30's, own their own homes, their own bank accounts, and their visits to mom and dad are strictly for personal enjoyment & dinner . . . . :)
Be safe.

hmm very good idea. I hope i remember this when I have children of my own.
Might be a good tactic to keep them well off.

Yeah, I try to stick to that logic. Try to put more money away than I spend. Could be better at it though. Really looking forward to getting that package now!

Consider this: the longer it takes to pay off the loans the less money you have in the long run for gear.

Better tuition leads to a better job , which leads to more money. More money leads to more stuff :D Nothing wrong with buying an occasional piece of gear now and then though:thumbup:
