quotes appearing in posts

Occasionally when I go to post in a thread after I click post and it takes me back to the thread and I see my post it has quotes in my post that I did not put there. Pretty odd any insight in this?

Somewhere you clicked the multiquote boxes on the right side of the posts. You need to find and uncheck them manually. The software will not deselect them automatically.

Thanks rev, sad thing is I didn't even know there was a multi quote button. I'm usually on here with my tablet or phone which are both touch screen, probably clicked it and didn't even know.

so how does multi quote work? I clicked on the multi quote icon for your and my posts but they didn't pop up in the text box?

When you select posts, you then the +Reply to Thread button. It will include all the posts you've clicked.

Yup. Things that I multi quoted days earlier show up everytime I post in a thread. You have to either go back and find them or just delete them from your post before hitting post.

I just noticed there was a little line that said "you have selected a quote that is not apart of this thread" and gave me the option to deselect it from the go advanced page. Very cool.

Another small tidbit about multi quoting.

The order in which you click the Multi-Quote button will determine the order that they appear in your post. First clicked will be at the top, second under that and so forth.
Actual post number in the thread doesn't matter.
