Yangdu, is it possible this stick knife is actually 18 ounces, and not 28?

At 15" with a 3/8ths spine that is what I'd guess....

Love that handle.

Charlie the Cat has admired stick knives ever since he was a kitten.

Naw; Yangdu loves that cat. Cool cat; I've heard him over the phone once.

Yangdu was kind enough to write and tell me the weight was actually 30 ounces. That's hard to see from here- but what the hey. a 15" blade with a spine of only 3/8th weighing as much as a Chiruwa AK? I guess it must be a lot broader than it appeared to me.

That's a very interesting "minimalistic" sheath; I've seen Filippino and Indonesian wooden sheaths that expose most of the blade, but I've never seen it in a leather version...

The last one I could find from late March was 14.25" and weighed 23 oz., so I think this is correct. That one was satisal and did not have the extra brass on the pommel this one has, so there is some weight there.

I can't remember but I think this is similar to the first one Nasty got.

Glad to see more of these.

From the picture, it looks like the spine retains its thickness for quite a ways towards the edge.

It's a match to the one I got...and one heck of a useful tool I might add. I have a set of Hollow's V-notch log holders out back and my R-1 has seen lots of duty doing exciting stuff like...um...cutting sticks.

It's a wood cleaver...plain and simple. Nothing firebox size stands up against it.

Sweet. I mean just plain sweet. The Eviscerator.

It's almost like the kamis decided to make a nuke-proof hasiya. I've been wanting a stick knife since they started to show up awhile back. Wonderful looking tool:)

:-) Bancharo....

Yes John...I have. In fact, I have used it as an ax (fearsome)...as a maul (even scarier)...and it currently stands behind the front door of my house.

Zombies...werewolves...Fuller Brush Men...none have dared approach since it took the watch, so all is well in my world.
