Received a nice surprise yesterday from Yangdu, a beautiful R-10 by Dil along with another JKM-1 with horn handle from the Road Money Discount on 8-15 by Lachu, so now I have a pair.

Yangdu didn't think she had any R-10s in stock but found one when she was cleaning off a shelf, lucky me !!

This blade fits me perfectly, an ideal steak knife as well!

Field sharp and ready to go

Thanks again Yangdu your the best !!

I was very, very impressed with the R-10 when I received mine.
With the scandi grind, it really surprised me how a blade that is .270 thick at the thickest part can slice like a razor.

I was as well, reminds me of a BM Rukus for some reason must be the ergonomics. going to see a lot of kitchen use.

I like the R-10 even better than the JKM-1. I might even like it better than the Kumar Karda but that's a close race. It slices better than the KK, that's for sure. Nice score.

I spent some time on my Kumar Karda and believe me, you can get it just as sharp. IMO, the R-10 and KK are such different knives in intent and use, that BOTH can be your favorite! :D

PS, I like the R-10 much better than the JKM-1 also. Not that I'm throwing away my JKM-1 anytime soon.

I have both an R-10 and a JKM-1. I prefer the R-10 in fact it is my daily carry knife. If I need to be around ov erly sensitive sheeples then I can stuff the JKM-1 in my back pocket and no one seems to notice. Both are great little survival and bushcraft knives performing excellently at a wide variety of tasks. I am so happy that I carry H.I knives over the other comercial variants check out the breakage that some foflks are experiencing on the survival forum.

LOL, you mean the RTAK and RAT-7 that gave up the ghost batoning?
I can't imaging what I'd have to do to a Kumar Karda (closest in size to those two) to kill it like that.

I have been carrying a JKM-1 on my evening walks with my dog since I got it,fits comfortably in pocket.

Cpl. Punishment that is exactly the knives I was talking about. When it was down to choosing time I chose to order my M-43 instead of an Rtak. Ive built two log cabins with the M-43, wonder how far I would've gotten with the Rtak. These H.I. knives wont break like that due to the differential temper.
