It's beautiful, Yangdu.

It is indeed. About a 3 1/2" blade maybe? Very nice.

I have to say though that it seems to me that the sheath is somewhat poorly done by normal HI standards, or maybe I'm just being a picky SOB as usual. The one I have for the R-5 is just perfectly sewn. However! its occurs to me that the dimensions of this knife are exactly those of a JKM-1, so it should fit very neatly into one of the JKM's excellent little dangler sheaths.

(Hi Karel! How are you doing! What is it, 7:30 a.m. there now?)

I really like the carving on the handle. It's stunning.

Y'know, I like the blade shape and the handle shape ... looks a bit like a modified Sarge knife. But neither the sheath nor the scrimshaw "do" it for me. Never been big on scrimshaw ... despite my nautical leanings.
