R.A.M. polished and re-scaled

I think I still have that wooden contraption I built to take the thumbstuds out carefully with a vise.
Polishing wasn't bad, time consuming though on my homemade polishing setup.

How did you get the scales so thin? Bandsaw? Lots of sanding? Worried about cracking?
I was thinking of getting a ram just to do something similar (no other reason I would want a ram...)

I still carry my RAM. Use it every day.
