I was thinking about manufacturing and all of your products. The AH-1 may very well be the answer to my question. How big are the scraps you have left and are you looking for ideas to create more products out of them? Would a filet knife be possible out of thin long pieces.

I thought the ESEE scraps were used to make Becker blades? :D

The way they're shaped I'd think the AH1 is cut from sheet steel my machine. Probably not as much waste as you'd think and a fillet knife might be out of the philosophy of ESEE.

New ideas are always cool though.

Yea, but for instance the AH-1 sells for about $15 right. Well scrap it's worth .15 cents just an example but I am sure it's not that exaggerated. I am asking as a way to do some thinking for esee and possibly offer more ideas. Hell even
Pace beads lol

I might be way off and I'm not sure exactly what goes on at the Rowen Candy Factory, but I don't think a lot of knife shops are pouring their own steel.

Understood, but if there were hundreds of pounds/tons of leftover high-quality steel, I imagine they could recoup some costs recycling it. Keep in mind, I'm no business man, just a mere farmer.

Another idea that might do well. A money clip with your logo and have a folding razor blade into the handle or something. Replace the blades as needed. You could also incorporate a flint striker into it. If you really wanted to make things difficult a little mini light like you find on a key chain.

I know some places have high-pressure cutting tools used to cut blanks out of steel. We have one that uses water in the engineering department. They can align them well enough so that there isn't a lot of scrap, and the stuff that is scrap wouldn't be big enough to be usable for the most part.

They are cut out with a laser so they are nested to minimize any scrap.

RAT, I sent in my money for my ESEE light saber tommorow, has it shipped yet? When will I get it? Did you get my 5000830983039485096843382046830382049402347 emails about things I wanted changed on it?

PS, could you send it to the 45th address I sent you, and not the 32nd, thanks!
