It's with a heavy heart that I report that I just read on another knife related website that our brother, "El Lobo", Bill Wolfe, has passed away.

Though I didn't know Bill very well, I always enjoyed his contributions here.

He will be missed.

Godspeed, friend.

Aw, no way! Bill was a fine man, and also a great part of the Schrade sub-forum over the years.

This really stinks...:(

Man that is soooo sad. I met Bill in person only last month. We did a trade and discussed knives for the better part of 2 hours. My condolences to Bill's family.

Oh no.

Bill was a very giving and positive person who will be missed. Condolences and prayer for his family and him.

I never really corresponded with him, other then reading his posts on here, and for the most part, that is usually enough to make us family. His loss is felt like the loss of a long lost relative, and that means with some saddness. My condolensces go out to Bill's family, and to all on this forum who knew him. Hey, maybe now, when it is our turn to shuffle into the next room, he will greet us at the Pearly gates and hand us our very own slippie made personally by him in the great big knife factory in the sky.
So long, Bill.

NO, NO, NO, DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!! This f'n sucks out loud...:(

Please,, pray-tel, does any of y'all know what the circumstances are??

Very sad news indeed. Never met him or communicated privately but we participated in many of the same discussions, especially at the Schrade Collector's area.

My sincere condolences to his friends and family.

Anthony, all I read (and can't confirm) is that he had a massive clot which moved to his heart and they couldn't remove the blockage quickly enough to save him.

No matter the cause, it's a shame and a loss.

Yes ... it does.

Bill really didn't seem very old to me. Baffled and sad here in VA. :(

EDIT: Just read Blues' post. It certainly makes sense. Could happen to anyone at any time. I'll miss him ... thought I was about to make a new friend, and that doesn't happen very often.

:(Never got to meet the man but have really enjoyed reading his informitive and enlighting posts especially in the Schrade collectors forum! May GOD be with him and his family as well as those that knew him. May your days now be filled with many KNIVES!

It's a real shame and I am very sorry to hear it. He was a good one.
Jim

My condolences to his family.

I enjoyed reading his posts, and feel sure that I would have enjoyed talking with him in person. R.I.P.

When I started reading and posting on the Schrade forum Bill was one of the main contributors, very sad indeed. Condolences to the family.
