She died last night at age 92. She made a difference in her life. How many of us can have that said about us?

As a catalyst for the civil rights movement, she made a positive difference in all of our lives. Truly a great woman.

I wonder often..its the small things that define us as people. For Mrs. Parks it was just deciding that one day enough was enough and that although the color of her skin was ebony as opposed to Caucasian that alone was not enough of a reason enough for her to have to give up her seat or move to the back of a bus.

If we all stood up for injustice in some small way who knows what the world would look like today.

Technically, the guy who told her to get up deserves at least some of the credit, like the fabled apple that fell on Newton's head. I wonder who he was, and if he ever realized what chain of events he started.

Even though I don't particularly believe in heaven, if there is one I'm sure she has a nice seat right in the front of the bus headed there.

Considering the time and place where Ms Parks refused to get up and or move her courage and conviction is also something to admire.

She was actually the third woman to refuse to giver up her seat in Montgomery. The first was Claudette Colvin, second was Mary Louise Smith. Colvin was pregnant and somewhat rough, Smith was similar. The NAACP chose Rosa Parks for obvious reasons and it worked.
