Hey everyone. I was checking out R.J. Martnin's site when I saw thjat he made a couple of folders. Does anyone have any information on these? They look really cool and functional. Anyone check them out in person? Does anyone know where you can get them? Thanks.

I'm hoping that RJ will one day call and tell me that I have made it to the top of the list, but I'll have to be patient...

I have seen and handled one, it belongs to sas here on the forums, as nicely made a knife as I have ever seen. Steve posted some great pictures in The Gallery.

Guys: Yes, I do make folders. I shipped Les Robertson 4 of the Q-36's for the NY Show-he sold them all in short order.
Since I have moved to Massachusetts, I have a lot more time to focus on knifemaking, so, I should be cutting into the backlog in the next few months. Good news is, the longer you wait, the better the knife you receive.

Stay Sharp,

RJ Martin

Hey Mr. Martin, I didn't know you'd moved to Massachusetts. Where at, neighbor?

How's it going Randy? I was going to post on this earlier this afternoon, but couldn't recall at the moment which dealer was offering your folders, which was of course Les Robertson. The Q-36 IMO is an AWESOME looking folder. There's definitely one in my immediate (Ihope!) future. As soon as I saw it, I e-mailed a pic up to my son up in Eugene. He got back to me pronto, asking about you, specs, price, etc.

Yeah. RJ Martin folders are pretty hot.:)

I'm not too much into folders of any kind and prefer to carry small to medium sized fixed blades. Therefore, I don't own one of RJ's folders but do own a good many of his fixed blades and consider them to be the finest knives in my collection. RJ's knives are of the very highest quality. I am a fanatic when it comes to edge sharpness and RJ's knives are the absolute sharpest I have ever come across, Period!

I could go on and on but suffice it to say, if you get the chance to own any of RJ's knives buy them!!!

I have a RJ folder. It is everything you would expect from RJ Martin. I highly recommend it!

Guys: Thank you all for your kind words. I moved to Massachusetts at the end of July. I'm at 51 Bramblewood St., Bridgewater, MA 02324
Phone 508-279-0682.
Finally, I'm a full time maker! (that is, from about 8AM till 3PM daily). I really wasn't up and running until late September, and I'm still working towards a really regular routine.
Yes, I need to do a website update, especially to post pics of my (ultimate) shop. 11 foot ceilings, insulated, painted, etc. with great lighting and a layout that really works. I finally have all my equipment in one place, and, (hold your hats), my CNC is up and running. I have this crazy idea about being able to do every operation eacept precision turning (pivot pins, etc.) IN HOUSE.
So, sit tight for a bit longer until I can get cranking. The future looks very bright...

RJ Martin is FULL TIME!!! I was just telling another maker a couple weeks ago If RJ EVER goes full time WATCH OUT! GREAT to hear from you buddy, and I hope you will have more time to visit here now. Congrats on going full time man!! Cant wait to see the new stuff you will be turning out...

Take Care

If you checked James' link to my Q-30 pictures, the links were broken. They're fixed now. I'd put the pics in here, but they're BIG, and so I'll just put the link up one more time...

Q-30 folder pics

Absolutely super to hear you're making folders again. Can't wait to get my hands on a Q-38 DA, hope you'll get some of those made as well Randy. I'm on Les' list(s), it's just a matter of time...
