Hi everybody, :D

received a very nice slip joint by Robert Rossdeutscher yesterday.
A stag crown with decoratively forged backspring and a blued blade of 1084.
I like this one a lot! Hope it counts as a traditional!? :D

If used with the thumb on the spring right behind the blade it`s kind of locked and can`t close unintentionally! Very nice feature!! :D

Wolfgang,

From one wolf to another...that is a very cool knife!

I like everything about it. Great lines, the hammered finish of the fittings and pins are perfect for the style and the blade gind looks great from the picture.

Thanks a lot for your nice comments!

Tested the knife while preparing some food and the like and must say it cuts great! Sharp as hell. Like it a lot! :D

A friction folder's blade is held in position by the inner sides of the handle pressing against the sides of the blade, so that is a slipjoint as it does have a backspring.

When I first looked at it, I thought: "Well, that's a bit TOO 'traditional' for ME!" But then I looked at it again...and some more...and....NICE!

Very Cool.. I must admit though, I've never seen or handled one. Can any of you lad's or las's give me a brief history lesson on where and when they originated from?

Blessings,
Anthony

I saw that knife in person and it is outstanding. But so are all of Bobs knives. Good work Robert:thumbup:
