Got out to the shop early again today, and ground this one out. 13" overall, 8" blade, 2" at its tallest point and 3/16" thick. Do you guys think it has possibilities?

Holy Cow! That looks great.
Yeah, I think that would work.

Oh, wow!

That looks amazing. It's a neat design - a hefty chopper with a recurved 'sweet spot' that should sail through wood, and a straight section near the handle for wood shaping, draw cuts, etc.

Nice work!

All the best,

- Mike

I think you need to slap a handle on that bad boy and see how it performs! I have a feeling it would be the chopper of choppers!

After I heat treat it (maybe next week) I plan on beating it through some old landscaping timbers I have lying around. I`ll post pics.

Very nice!
The only thing I'd do differently is clip it (i'd clip everything on earth, given the chance).
Handle to blade proportions are dead on.

I`m going to nickname you Lorena Bobbit, she liked to clip things too!

A friend just got a new 336; the first thing I said was, "wow, that'll be really cool when you cut the barrel down from 18 1/4 to 16 1/4 inches."

Your finished knife is awesome.

The spear point is starting to grow on me. Should make an extremely strong design even.... stronger.
