I think I want one also, matter of fact I'm pretty sure I want one, pretty good idea that I'm positive I want one. By the way, what is a tomahawk drift exactly anyways? :o

New sig line!...:D

That's a good one Michael!

Hey does anyone know if Rade is going to be at the Terry Ellerbee Bladesmith's Hammer In in Macon next month? I could pick up a drift while I'm there and save the shipping if he brought some. I see from his web site he is a member of the Ocmulgee Blacksmiths Guild which is a host of this event.

Lmaoooo, guys, I meant that line as a joke but I was also serious, I haven't a clue what a tomahawk drift is. What is it and what do you do with it?:o

Michael, You crack me up!

I tomahawk drift will make the handle hole in the hawk when forging. The good thing about it is Rade Hawkins also sells the handles that fit the drifted hole perfectly.

Ahhh, thats where you guys get those beautiful sticks of fiddleback maple for the hawks. I've been wondering about that. If I ever get a forge together, the first thing I'm going to make is a big ole hawk.

Rade sells a good drift, hopefully I will be able to post another finished hawk this week that I will use his drift to make. ;)

He delivers quickly too, only took about a week to get mine, from the day I sent the money order out.

Just a bit of silliness, but I didn't know what they were either, thanks for the explanation.
Something that needs no explanation is that knife pistol. The photos say it all--outstanding craftsmanship.
