Mike just sent me some pics of two more he just finished. I think this new deal we have going is working out well. I am getting faster at forging the integral knife blades I made some adjustments to the dies on my hammer that made a big difference when forging the blades out. I think Mike is fine tuning his style I think this handles is close to what he is going to be doing for most of his chef knives.

Very tasteful and very well done. I really like the wood caps, engraved spacers with
dark spacers between......a very tidy package...!!!

DAMN! Those are sweet. That little touch of engraving is perfect. Do you know if he is bringing any chef's knives to the Boise show?

Dave very nice damascus as usual my friend, you and Michael are working good together. I really like the wood cap as well really sets it off for me.

Thanks Russ Bill and Mike . Yes he will have some of his Chef knives he was hoping to have one done with a mosaic blade I made for him plus a sword that I made the blade for, he should have 2 or 3 of his straight steel chef knives. and he made a very cool batch of belt knives stop by his table and say hi.

insanely insane.
You make a GREAT team!

Would love to hold one, maybe in 2011.

I have one small concern....with the ferrule/spacer, that seems like a fairly long bolster region, as someone who uses a "pinch" hold, the concern is where it sits in your hand. Would you mind showing some pics in the hand?

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Man those are crazy nice looking knives. I would sure like to have a couple of those in the kitchen.

Well done, Jon

Thank you all again Steven Mike did not send a in hand pic but when the next one is finished I will ask Mike to take some in hand pics. the first two are in the hands of the new owners and one of the chefs has ordered another already. I am starting to understand just how important all these little things are when you are going to be using the knife all day.

Thanks guys. Dave and I are having fun. And, uh, Jon K.... I just might have one for ya all warmed up and ready to go :-)

Fabulous Steel...

Incredible Work...

One thing Dave forgot to add was that Tom Ferry did the engraving on the spacers. I'm really enjoying the collaboration process and I think it gives our collectors a much better knife in the end, as it gives me the time to do the things I am best at. It's only going to get better, guys.
