Radial markings on your spyderco?

I just ordered a dragonfly2 few days ago and it will arrive maybe next week. I'm also interested in the delica4. I only had a spyderco folder with a liner lock and this will be the first lockback folder. I see circular scuffings on the blade around the pivot area on many spyderco lockbacks. Is this something that you can't do anything about it? Does all spyderco lockbacks have them? My linerlock folders did not have the scuffings. Does anybody know why? What's making this scuffings? Are the washers too thin? Does your dragonflys have the scuffings?

I have these scuff marks on my Caly 3 which I believe is washerless. I attribute them to the friction of the steel liners on the blade. Makes not a bit of difference to me, and in no way compromises the performance of the knife.

But I've read someone's thread saying he had that scuff on his delica4. Delica4. They have washers am I right?

Ah I see. It's because of the washers are too thin. Thank you for your answers. I hope my dragonfly will not have scuffings.

Same here. The Dragonfly2 is not a collections reserve limited edition run by any means. Scuffs do nothing to impair the blades performance. Use the knife and enjoy it.

I have a Delica 4 and I don't see noticeable marks on it. I have a Native for just some days, never used it as EDC and it already has the circular marks.
If you didn't point these things existed I wouldn't even bother to check if they're there or not!

Yeah, I have no idea why Spyderco chose to make the washers so thin that they bend. It's not like they're really expensive or something. But the Delica 4 is the only knife I have that gets those scuffs.
