"This is Radio Fred Perrin:

le Ronin !

I like its real compact size and its wide high ground blade.

This high flat grind makes it an amazing slicer. (Tested on tree branches and dummies made of thick cordura!)

The ergonomy works just great for great powerful slashes.

The tip is really strong as far as I have tested it.

Next week I will test it on kevlar vest. "

Now for the original version:

after some days of port in inside and small tests The Ronin is rather sympathetic to carry.
For the moment the strong point for me are its size compact with a broad blade which ensures a broad grind and permits to have a excellent penetration on the cut to test on branch of fir tree and dummy realized with fabric protected by thick layer of cordura
I cut some peak in wood and the thumb placed on the back of the blade remains very practical moreover to force . It is easy to change the grip into in hammer grip with the edge up and the Ronin cuts like crazy.
The handle ensures a comfortable grip thanks to the tappered form and to the ricasso
The whole package is predisposed for powerful thrust but also vicious deep cuts.

Is that Fred Perrins Cat?!?!?

I need a bow down smilie RIGHT NOW!

I am in the same thread as Nemo. Does this make me cool by proxy?
Seriously though, Nemo, Tell Fred I think his work is awsome. Absolutely brilliant. Simple and effective I have appreciated it for years. Fred is definately in the top three of my all time favorite knifemakers. And if I go on any more I'm going get mushy so I'll stop here.

Fred RULES!

Ummmm before I forget, I totally agree the Ronin is a sweet piece.
