Hi, guys!
I read a recent thread on another forum where someone posted a picture of a Taiwan SK-5 Laredo that they'd had rehandled. From what I could see, there was slight radiusing as the blade becomes the tang. I know that there was some issue with Trailmasters and a lack of radiusing creating a stress point that could cause blade failure (and did in one batoning case).
My question is, is Cold Steel radiusing their newer large bowies? It looks like they are, at least slightly, for their Laredos. Does anyone have a recent Trailmaster that they've seen the tang? The reason I ask is, I've got a Carbon V Trailmaster and Laredo; and I'm definitely getting the SK-5 Natchez, because I love the design. But now I'm also considering an additional SK-5 Trailmaster and Laredo...I love the Carbon V versions; and if they're radiusing it'd be nice to get a couple of new users and retire my Carbon Vs.
Thanks!
