First off, I want to thank Mykel and Jason for doing this, Mykel for the knife, and Jason for the sheath.

The knife is a Phoenix in osage, and the sheath is a dangler style.

OHHHHH Man oh man I thought this was going to be a auction :( I never win these things. however since it's for an amazing cause I'm in :) good luck everyone.

Been lurking here a while, but this is my first post in the JK forum. I'm in. Been following Hanna's story and will be praying for continued healing.

John - email incoming. Also have some knives I'd like to discuss getting built.

Only 3 sold?I count 6 I'm ins.
Thanks & welcome to the JK forum thurin.
Come on folks this is for a good cause ya know.

The Phoenix is one fine knife with Osage scales & red liners.
I liked it so much I sold a Skookum Bush Tool & kept the Phoenix they were so close in performance.
Here's a link to the thread where I compared the two...

The Osage seems to have darkened a bit with handling while Tal was making the sheath, typical of Osage.

In for one chance on that beautiful combo - thanks to Mykel and Jason for making this happen!

best

I just sent funds for 2 chances. Great looking combo and a great cause!

The Osage seems to have darkened a bit with handling while Tal was making the sheath, typical of Osage.

It did darken some. I actually sanded it back to 600 grit - added a little water to raise the grain - sanded again - and sealed it lightly.

It was very light then - so while I was sunning the sheath - I sunned the knife with it. It darkened then.

In my opinion, this knife makes an awesome Kephart.

I'm in. I'm studying to become (among other things) a pediatrician, so I'm glad to chip in towards Hanna's care - and if I'm lucky get a gorgeous knife for myself!
