Raffle for Huck at Ghostown Knives

For those who know Huckleberry (and even those that don't), there is a raffle for him at the BCCI website. He's had some bad luck this month. If you can, please purchase some tickets at the the site. They are raffling a 084 and a custom 110 dragon knife from Ghostown. Even if you are short of cash, give him some prayers, if you are so inclined, to help him over this rough spot. His family would appreciate it. I am proud to be a member of a group like BCCI that does things like this. Thanks.

You'll need to be a BCCI member because the purchase is at the members only store at buckcollectorsclub.org.

Is the customization on the 110 done by David Yellowhorse, by any chance? Looks like it might be.

The 084 I think is from that recent run of 1000 they did. The 110 was customized by Ghostown (Huck). I don't know who donated the knives, but he/she has a kind heart.

Thanks. I wasn't familiar with Ghostown but some Dinasaur bone would be really cool and that's a great theme. Would love to own either knife.
 
Ghostown style is very distinctive. I have a few of his pieces. Here is a Halloween 112 he made for me.

There was, but he brought it down because he said he got enough to pay the first vet bill. His dog had an operation and is recuperating fine. If you still want to help him out, because he will have additional vet bills, I think you could address it to Ghostown Custom Knives in paypal. Or you can buy one of these raffle tickets on the buck collector's club site. Thanks.
 
Reason for raffle as copied from BCCI site:

We are trying to raise the money to assist Huckleberry to help defray some of his personal expenses. He has had a terrible run of bad luck; he has lost 2 family members, pipes in home blew out and he had to have home re-piped, and the family pet was attacked and required surgery.

Thank you in advance for helping with this project. Mr. Knudsen has done knives for the BCCI and is an honorary member.

I'll say a few prayers for him too.. I DO know without God's help I would have given up when life's many troubles and disaster's hit me in the last few years.

Ben and Walter Nock won (father and son?). I don't know what their Bladeforums names are. They must have bought a lot of tickets or it's a huge coincidence. I also don't know if the knives were donated or the cost was deducted from the net proceeds to Huck. I suspect it'd be the former and not the latter. At any rate, Huck will get a decent some of money to smooth over the rough spot. Thanks to everyone who had him in his prayers and/or donated. I had a similar situation when I was in college. I was dating a girl who was in hysteria. Her cat got ran over and needed an operation. She needed a bunch of money for an operation. She begged me for help. The problem is, I come from a poor family and, being in college, I had squat to my name. When your best friend pets get hurt, you'd do almost anything for them (just like your children). You feel in total despair.
