I'm looking for relatively inexpensive knives to offer as door/raffle prizes at events held at my sportsmen's club. It is a target shooting and hunting club so most members are at least a little bit familiar with knives, but not necessarily enthusiasts.
In the past, I've offered the Ontario Rat 2, a few of the small Spydercos (manbug) and a CRKT.
I'd like to bring in some new items. Decent quality, but particular steels probably not important. Folding knives preferred but smaller hunting style fixed with sheath OK. $50 limit per item, and the less expensive the better.
Suggestions?

Buck 112 Slim Select might be a good option. Below your budget and that group of fellows might appreciate the USA manufacture.

Cold Steel has a couple of great knives in that price range as well. The Mini Recon 1 and Tuff Lite come to mind.

Check the Kershaw line-up. I'm sure you'll find a few that interest you. Certainly a few models in that price range
The Fraxion has different color combinations. Very nice design. I do own one in blue G10 & satin blade and the fit & finish/action are great for the price
The Align looks good as well. Both at approximately $25 (each)

EDIT: The Seguin (Les George design) is currently at 23USD
Check Knifecenter (they also support BF), all Kershaws are on sale

Depending on the model, the Kershaw Blur is under $100.

The RAT 1&2 are also nice choices

Even a basic Spyderco Tenacious is under $100.

Just a few options.

Buck Bantam is in that price range also and is US made. Handy and surprisingly robust for a knife at that price point. They got 3 sizes.
The Buck Paklite fixed blades are also US made and in that price range.

I agree that his prospective receivers might appreciate US made.

You might like the Miguron Knives Velona folder with a 4" black blade of 14C28N. It's usually between $50 and $55. I was very impressed with the quality of this knife, particularly for the price.

Chronovore Chronovore , this guy needs a few recommendations. He's the one to talk to about knowledge on this specific niche of the market. He goes hard. 🤘

Thanks for the kind words!

That Kizer Nice Guy posted above is a solid deal for what it is. It has a slicey 2.5mm-thick blade in Nitro-V. That's sort of a sweet spot on thickness in a modern folder and Nitro-V is a good tough steel for it. While it doesn't have the highest corrosion resistance, it's at least stainless. In this kind of role, I always recommend stainless and that can be a reason to stay away from some of the value folders in D2. There are a couple of different versions and if you hunt around, you can find them as low as $30. Overall, it can be worth searching Kizer and sorting by price. They occasionally get a lot of great models on ridiculous sales.

Also check out Sencut, which is a budget line from WE (who also makes the Civivi knives). They generally do a nice job and have lots of models under $50. As far as budget steel goes, they do a very good heat treatment on 9Cr18Mov. They also have some stuff in 10Cr15CoMov, which is a Chinese analog of VG-10.

There are other budget gems out there but this is how I'd do it.
