It's been a while since this was started........ but it turned out to be worth every bit of the wait!

.280 thick 4140 HR with Ryan's special heat treat, 3/16 milled handle scales from VZ grips in Andrew's (Ragnarok) pattern, Patriot brown cerakote............ 100% Made in Mericuh!
we'll have a 12" version (pictured) and a 14" version
she's going to be a great piercer....... nasty spike, sharpened beard, and pry-bar on the end............ grip has a flat spot on the back of the handle for indexing in the dark
I have yet to sharpen it, I was too excited to get pics out when the handles arrived this morning. Let me know what you guys think!

Chance are pretty good that we'll have a few for "Blade"

That is simply awesome! Every aspect of it seems to have both great aesthetics and function. Nicely done, sir!

Wow!!! That looks like a beefed up jenny wren. I may really need one of those. Dam it. $$$

That's sweet! To bad the three lines on top of the handle didn't make it out of the cad program.

That looks awesome. Any idea on the price yet?
Not yet, we'll probably be having that conversation In Atlanta, Friday june 6th at 10am, on the show floor.

thanks for all of the comments guys, more pics to come... of the longer 14 inch version (cerakoted in Tungsten)

Yeah, it's difficult to break those over the bevel and try to keep them looking the same.... maybe in future versions.
Jenny has competition. What's the 12 in one weigh?
I just took it up to Andrews today, and we weighed them.... 12 inch came around 21oz, then we put the handles on the 14 inch version.... and the 14 inch weighed in at 24oz (both weights with cord, and not sharpened)

Updated pics with both of the hawks together! the 14 inch in coated in a Tungsten cerakote... they both look wicked, and feel even better than they look in the hand.....

Very nice. A few comparisons to the Jenny Wren-- will the top of the head be sharpened as well?

No sharpened top..... I thought it might be counterproductive for a hand to be pressing against a sharpened edge when trying to use breach/pry with the end of the handle.
......but the front of the axe head (both facets), the beard (only the long arc) and the tip of the spike will be sharpened.

Love it and agree that it also reminded me of my precious Jenny Wren.

Cant wait to hold one.:)

Send me one I'll give test it out, I will even pay for it, as long as I'm 1st.

I know it's a long shot but never hurts to ask

I have an older custom hawk made in 2001 in mint condition. I never use it, don't want to scratch it. I'm looking forward to getting this one some day and using the shit out of it. I can't wait.

I'd love one myself, but it always seems like the cobbler's son has no shoes. :)

This Hawk is why I get up early and beg for overtime at work...it will be mine...

I saw these at the Blade show and they are very nice, compact and versatile. However, I did not get a chance to handle the scabbard but look good too! I have some RMJ products and I like the idea of collaboration. I don't remember if the price in line with the other RMJ hawks and I don't remember if it has a life time warranty?
