I've seen a few sites online that offer same looking knives as does Ragnar on his site.

Are they custom handmade or production?

Does he make them and sell it to other companies/distributors? (If so he must punch out alot of them to be offered in stock online)

Are the knives functional or just for reeanctments?

He seems to be really into Viking lore as though he speaks like he is one. Is that something I should be concerned about before doing business with him?

I don't know which knives you are refering to, but I've done business with him and would do so again. I have purchased quite a few of his Mora knives, and have had no issues.

Ragnar's is the premier site for knives from Norway,Sweden and Finland and yes they are users, he is a retailer and I don't know that he makes any knives. His prices are reasonable and he is a trusted member of this community. Anytime I need a new Mora, that's where I head.

I have dealt with Ragnar as a retailer, and as a wholesale supplier, since 1990. He can be a little grumpy at times but he's a good egg. I've got 5 Mora knives that have been in my SCA eating kit for as long as I've known Ragnar. He sells to reenactors and SCA and is the primary wholesale importer of Mora knives.
Good guy, he won't give you any BS, so don't try to BS him, the viking thing is because he is very active in the reenactor communities, don't let it scare you

Ragnar sells knives made by many of the great Scandinavian production companies. Other retailers, also reliable, sell the same knives, sometimes under different names. I've deal with Ragnar on many occasions, and have always been pleased with the products and service.

His cultural material, from Norse history to runes to artefacts like the jewelry and period pieces, reflect his interests, and are actually quite scholarly. Like his knives, his cultural sources are expertly chosen.
