Does anyone know Ragnar at Ragweed Forge?

I have bought some blades and associated supplies from him recently. His service was great and he has an excellent selection of finished blades.

Recently his site has had a message saying he is closed due to health issues. This is a bummer since he has exactly the sort of product I am interested in, at good prices, and with a better selection than anyone I have seen.

(I have no intention of making blades. I want to assemble knives and make sheaths. The scandi style blades with stick tangs are exactly what I like)

Just wondering if/when he will be back.

In the meantime, I have bought some material from Brisa in Finland, and am also aware of Thompsons Scandinavian Knife Supply.

Any other suggestions? I like the idea of getting blades from a reputable source so that I am not investing time and effort putting a nicely crafted wood handle on a piece of junk. That's where the appeal is of buying blades from Helle or Mora or Lauri, etc.

Love Ragnars site and I saw that too I think a few weeks back and it’s still in pause mode.
Hope all is okay.

G GBinGA you should browse the custom maker's exchange here. There are blanks for sale somewhat regularly:

Also, @killrathi makes a number of blanks. I've used a few and had good results. With a little cleanup, they produce some handsome knives:

We are in the process of picking up as a Mora dealer. We used to buy from Ragnar but having to take a different approach now. Figured we may as well go all out and become a validated USA dealer.

Ragweed’s finished blades are how I got started into this hobby.

He had some nice finished blades.

Ragweed Forge is going to continue, the person picking up will just need some time getting it all together. I spoke to him a few weeks back.
We got approved as an official Mora dealer but I think I will still buy from Ragweed.

Ragnar's Ragweed Forge is back up and running! Ragnar was a close friend of mine and a great man to all. We are going to continue to carry on the tradition as he would like. We are going to do everything that we can to keep the prices reasonable as he always did . I will stop back from time to time but please feel free to email at ragnar@ragweedforge.com or call anytime at (716)731-3715. I look forward to making friends with any friend of Ragnar's
Best regards,
