Hi all,
Kim of RAIDOPS has designed a few new tools with a bat wing as his inspiration. These are pretty cool!
First up is the Delta Bat Boy, a knuckle/impact tool that incorporates the bat wing theme along with Kim's trademark skull design. it feels very much like a RAIDOPS Delta impact tool. The Delta Bat Boy could pass for jewelry, but I'm not sure if airport security would let it on a plane. It fits my hands and you have a choice of the pointy ends of the 'wing' or the skull between the fingers. This is a very nice Ti piece!
Next up in the bat wing theme is the Bat Claw, a smallish fixed blade. it's about the size of a neck knife, OAL 4.5" with a cutting edge of 1.8". Blade steel is D2 and the edge is very sharp. The knife is pretty stout with a thickness just under 1/4". The finger hole is large enough for my fingers and has had the edges rounded for comfort. It is currently one of my EDC knives.
Kim's quality is very high and I really like his playfulness with the bat wing design. There are more batwing designs that look pretty interesting. It's nice to see a maker have fun with a specific theme.
