Raidops Knives

I'm pretty interested in one of the knives offered by Raidops, but before I jump the gun, I want to know the general opinion of their knives. Specifically, I would like to know how good their heat treat is and how well their knives stand up to others. Thanks in advance.
 
Excellent hard working knives. Kim does a great job with heat treat. I have used and abused one of the knives I have from RAIDOPS and it has never let me down.

Kim uses rather thick stock, but his hollow grind makes for very good cutters.

RAIDOPS uses G10 handles, and they can take quite a bit of abuse. The texturing is aggressive, but functional. If you get one of the shorter length blades, you will have a very stout little knife.

The one on the bottom is with my cousin in Afghanistan and working hard with no issues.

As for holding up to other knives, I would put it up there with the big boys. I'd rather own a RAIDOPS over a Strider. Not that there is anything wrong with Strider knives, just my preference.

Do you have a pic of the used and abused one? Those all look like safe queens.

Also what constitutes used and abused in your opinion?

The abused one is the one in Afghanistan. I have a RAIDOPS CQB D2 that is an EDC and used when I need a small stout compact knife. The Little John is with my cousin too (brown handled), and that one was used quite a bit too. The finish wore off a little but it was easy to resharpen. Both the knives cut rope, kindling, and dug in various chores while camping. From what my cousin is telling me, they are still doing all of that and prying open crates, and other 'things military' and not.

My definition and use for a knife is to cut with. Anything else is abuse in my world. I have not, and probably never will, put any of my knives through a DESTRUCTIVE test like I have seen posted here and on the interweb. I did chop and baton with the larger of the two knives (SSCP), but the length is only 5.5", so it wasn't ideal. That being said, it did chop quite well through a fallen birch tree we used for firewood. I avoid prying with any of my knives, but I'm sure that RAIDOPS knives would do well at this due to the thick stock. According to my cousin, he is putting it through a work out.

Let me put it this way. I was impressed enough with the performance of the SSCP that I gave to my cousin, that I got another one to replace it. I have spoken with Kim and he puts his knives through more abuse than I EVER will. He wants RAIDOPS knives to perform, and like any responsible craftsman, designs his knives to perform more than what the user will reasonably need the knife for.

As for safe queens, yup, have more than a few of those. I take photos of all my knives for insurance purposes once I get them. That said, I do use my knives... from my MT LCC D/A & Scarab, Chew Covert Spitfire, HAKs, Burchtree, RAIDOPS, and others. It's like my firearms, I have $3000+ rifles and handguns, but what is the use of having them if you don't use them.

Your Raidops are beautiful.
But what I'm really interested in is that way cool
skull bottle opener thing. (it is a bottle opener, right?)
Where can I get one?
