Hey all! Just got this knife in the mail the other day. Thought I would do a review on it. The knife is made by RaidOps, based in South Korea. Kim, the owner, makes a few fixed blade knives, ranging from about 2 inches to 5 inches (legal carry limit in South Korea). (Didn't catch his first name and half of the population of S.K has the last name of Kim. It's true, they will even tell you that themselves.) Anyway, I bought this little knife with the idea of an EDC fixed blade. Also serving as a last resort type of knife. Here are the stats from his website on this knife:
Materials
Blade : M2 High speed steel (Hitachi. Japan)
Finish : SUS Black
Sheath : Kydex (LCG GEAR products)
Carry : Neck type
Specifications
Overall Length : 4.8 inch / 123 mm
Blade Length : 2.2 inch / 55 mm
Blade Thickness : 0.25 inch / 6.4mm
Hardness : HRC 62
Weight with kydex sheath : 3.5 oz / 100 g
Never heard of the steel, but so far I am impressed with it. It has made a nice little EDC in the tasks I have put it through so far. With the blade thickness of it though, I definitely feel as if this knife could stand up to some pretty tough treatment. It is easy to draw with the ?finger loops? (not sure what to call them). It locks into the kydex sheath very nicely. Enough to keep it in, but not too difficult to pull out. Anyway, I just thought that I would put this out and let people know about these good knives! I definitely think that if you are interested in a big, beefy, fixed blade, check these out. Kim was very nice and easy to work with. I promised him I would do a review on this knife, and so far with my experience, I am very, very pleased!
