hi all,

just received a Ti knife from RaidOps called the Comrade. the Comrade is a thin knife when compared to RaidOps usual knives, and keeps Kim's 'chiseled' theme.

my Comrade is a little different as the 'chiseled' portion below the spine has finer carved details. the finish looks to be anodized, but i'm not sure if it is heat or electrically done.

the Comrade comes with a unique sheath... there is a velcro strap that can be used to wrap around an appendage for carry. the knife is so light in weight that you don't notice it there when place in an ankle carry position. the thumb ramps on the spine are well placed and although the knife is on the smaller side, it is quite secure in the hand.

the knife is sharp too. Kim has been working on his edges and he is improving with each knife i buy.

some specs:

■ LENGTH : 5.5 inch (140mm)
■ WIDTH : 0.9 inch (23mm)
■ THICKNESS : 0.2 inch (5mm)
■ MATERIAL : Titanium alloy
■ HARDNESS : Heat-treatment HRC 48
■ FINISH : Micro blasting/Surface heat-treatment

this knife will be going into my BOB!

:D

RaidOps is a great guy. He is a self-taught, one-man operation, and has very innovative products. It is not easy over here in Korea because there is almost no one to help him.

Good buy,

John

Beautiful piece of sculpted steel!
This in my opinion can be considered as truly practical Knife Art....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
