railroad spike skinner

This is my first post here, and I wanted to show everyone the knife I made from an old railroad spike. I would love to hear what everyone thinks of it.
I know it is not crafted as well as most of the knives on here, but as a novice knife maker I was pretty proud of it... also, note that I the only tools used were a hammer, torch, anvil, vise, and files. The polishing was done by hand with sand paper....
 
Cool job :) Looks sort of like a mini scimitar.
From what I have read though , RR spikes make poor knives because of the type of steel.

Someone who knows more can chime in on that though.
