I'm looking for a pair of rain boots to keep in my car trunk to go along with the PVC coat and bib I keep there just in case I'm stuck loading a truck in a downpour. I'm not interested in heavy insulation, something good for the 30-50f range, and I won't be hiking all day in them. I might be pushing up/down ramps and walking across cement floors, so traction is good.

I wear a 12 EEE or a thirteen, with tree trunk calf's so nothing too high up.Current work shoes are Keen's or Merril's with Superfeet insoles. I'd like to keep it ~$60, but would entertain the idea of something more expensive if it was truly superior.

Thanks in advance.

I have trouble with really tall boots due to my extra thick, super fat calves. I am hoping for something trail boot high but rubberized waterproof.

Why not one of the many hikers or workboots out there sporting that fancy extruded PTFE membrane (gore-tex and the like)?

I have a pair of ankle high hiking boots that are waterproof. That is what I was thinking.
