Hi all,

Thought I'd share a bit of what we've been up to the last couple of days.

Our little spread on christmas day for lunch consisted of parmesan and kalamata olive bread, havarti cheese, red wine and oysters...

Then, it started bucketing down...

The plants love it, but we're over it. It has hardly stopped for a couple of weeks.

So we went inside and made -Buffalo Scallops and Calamari. OMG, this was the best xmas dinner ever!!!

Today it was still raining, so we decided to go for a drive in the country. We stopped at a little town called Kilcoy. We pulled into a park called "Yowie Park". Yowies being the Aus version of bigfoot. There's even a dodgy wooden statue. Murray and I decided to go "Yowie huntin". I just 'happened' to have a fusion steel heart in the car...

YOWIE-ZA!!!

Hope everyone has had a lovely christmas this year. We certainly have!

Looks good Rob. I spent Christmas in Bargara. Most roads here are cut. Might not be able to get back home for work :) The ocean is actually red from all the soil running into it. Kinda old testament style! Not the best Christmas, plus Santa didn't give me a NMFBMLE.

Chris.

I knew bigfoot was real, he probably vacations in Australia :D

Nice pics Rob, and I never thought of scallops and hot sauce; sounds like a great idea

Nice Rob,,merry Christmas to you & Karen,, man that calamari looks gooooooooooood!!!!!!
Cheers, Wade

great post - nice insight into your life and a little bit of australia for us americans too see. very cool.

YES!!! The scallops and calamari in the hot sauce with garlic and a heap of cayenne pepper is quite possibly the new christmas traditional meal in our household. Lucky for us, it's christmas every week! :D

EDIT - Of course the squid tubes have to be cut into rings with INFI, otherwise it just doesn't taste right. ;)
