Rain, sleet and slush...what a great morning !

As I sat drinking my coffee and looking outta the window this morning I really didn't want to take the dogs a walk. The weather has warmed up a little and the snow has been replaced by sleet and rain turning the snow to slippery slush.

I'm sure glad I dragged my ass out because I had a great morning !!!!

Found lots of tracks today, here are some Raccoon that have become a little enlarged as the snow melts,

You are really lucky! The scenery and place looks so cool. Me, well im in the desert...never see snow or get cold really...
 
for sure...today i drove down a wadi (dry river bed) with my family in a 4wd...like driving in a canyon...huge rocks to traverse...1mph...even less...wish i cud post pics tho
 
I didnt mind the knife porn, but the dog porn was a bit too much! Just foolin, nice pics.

Great shots as usual, I purchased a bag of that Cheatwood, have looked around here, can't seem to locate any. Good post, good shots of the valley as well.

Hey Cynt, you should talk to Pit about trading places for 2 weeks a year. I'm sure 2 weeks of fun & sun when it is -15* below would look real good to him about then. Just a thought, my man . . . :)

nice pics, man. it sure is cold here already but no snow yet thankfully. cheatwood, lol. next time i go hiking, i'll one up you and light my cheatwood with a bic. i'll toss in lighter fluid for good measure :p

I like the grind on that knife, how does it handle?

All kidding aside, how does the inside of that Cedar do for tinder on damp days?

It has an awesome grind buddy, full flat with a small secondary and good taper to the tip ( not sure what the technical term is )cuts like a dream:

I was going to use some Cedar bark mixed with some resin to get a fire going but there were no Cedars anyways once I got to the higher elevation !!!:(
 
Cool pics! We had a little sleet yesterday morning. Looks like you had a lot more fun in it! I was shutting my water off to fix shower leal
