Man is it raining like crazy in my area! I've lived here for twenty years and have never seen this much rain this fast. It started Friday and has steadily been coming down in buckets. Broad Creek dam not far from where I live is 3 ft. over capacity. The county has started to evacuate people in the area. Deer Creek is flooded and many roads in the county have been closed. I worried about my basement where my work area is now. I'm paraniod of my basement flooding. We live on higher ground but the ground can only hold so much water. Anyone else experiencing this much rain along the east coast? My nerves can't take much more. :(

im from right up the road PA and we havent had much a problem yet
i live on some high ground but i know if i want to get the the one bar i like to go to i will have to find another way to it as bender rd always floods when we get much rain

Scott, I don't know what is worse? Worrying about what might happen or when it does. I'd sure be tempted to move what I could to higher ground. I wish you the best!

I just got back from Eastport (Maine) from a visit with my dad and mom
it's as east as you can get in the U.S and it's raining fairly hard and has been all day and it raining here and has been all day
I'm just over 135 miles inland. it's all up and down the coast..
MY basement pump is working itself... :(

Here we've had 8-10" and some more to come . Varous roads awash in the county. In this area we had two major floods in the last year ! This one shouldn't be a big problem .As a HAM I'm monitoring the radio and expect to hear within the hour if they'll shut down the OEM.It'll wash away the fall colors but we needed the rain.

Well it all turned out ok for me. I haven't heard anything about the people who were evacuated. I'm not complaining about the fact that we needed rain, it's just came so fast. We're about four inches low for the year so this should help some.

See what you durned flatlanders got to put up with? :D

Yeah its been raining cats and dogs here since Friday too. Cold rain, too. Brrr! Captain Nemo's been grumpy about it (my dog). I been putting his old neoprene vest on when he goes outside. Thing is, since he's a water dog anyway, when he's got the vest on he thinks its great just to stay outside and play. He thinks I'll take him hunting. Yeah right. Like I got time for that!He wouldn't come in yesterday afternoon. Instead he laid out under a big oak out back and snoozed. Wish I had that kind of toughness when I am his age in human years!

Power was out for a short time, some areas in MD got 8 inches of rain. Whats the word on your shop, Scott? I haven't heard anything about Darlington or Port Deposit either.
