rainbow leak coating Q

those of you that have the rainbow leek, how is the coating holding up? I use my office knife to remove a lot of staples & wonder how long the rainbow coloring would hold up to that sort of brutal abuse. ??

I have a Chive, and with it's thin edge of 15 degrees, I wouldn't use it or the Leek to remove staples. You are sure to get edge damage from doing that. That is what they make staple removers for. As far as the coating, It is Ti Oxide (I believe) which is supposed to be some pretty tough stuff.

I have carried my rainbow leek for the last 3 months, and it's seen much harder use than just removing staples, and no real signs of any wear to the coating. I've sharpened it alot on my 204. All in all it's my #1 folder for under $100.00 bucks.
