I just started getting into knives, and had a few questions for everyone. I have a new Ken Onion Leek, the normal brushed finish, and I absolutely love that knife. I'm thinking about investing in the Rainbow Leek. I did a search and read some informative posts from other members. Although I have a few questions.
Reguarding speed safe-does the blade or mechanisms become loose over time? If so, how are they fixed, and can a knife shop do it?
How strong is the finish on the rainbow? I wouldn't want to invest that much money for it to rub/scrach off.
Is the rainbow leek comporable in quality, durability, and function to a cold steel and a benchmade of around the same price ($100)?
Does the rainbow come in a 50/50 blade?
Does the use of 420 steel question the blade's quality and/or durability? If so, how?
Just wanting everyone's feedback. Any tips and pointers for a novice are much appreciated. I enjoy people's point of view.
