I now know why it earned knife of the year. They are finally shipping:D

This knife is the hardest I've ever tried to photograph.

Very nice> Over time it is going to be interesting to see how that finish holds up. It sure does look good though.

Here's a pic of one I took earlier this week -

I sure wish mine had more purple like that one Spark, mine is more goldish. I intend it to be a beater, my first "speed assisted". I must say that the cover of BLADE sold this knife to me. Over all it's a nice little folder, I guess I was expecting it to be bigger.

Does anyone know if a speed assisted knife is illegal like a auto. I could care less either way, but it would be nice to know.

I'm going to have to check one of these out for myself.

You may want to do a search on the Kershaw chive to learn about it's leagality. There is a long post concerning that issue.

JUST got a plain jane version today from RyanM, thanks Ryan and I'm not sure how I missed this knive's coming out party! Like it...a LOT, very cool and functions great, slim and fast, with a frame lock system that seems secure, love the blade shape!

There is a Safety catch near the blade tip, a slide type of affair that puts a shelf rest on top of the back of the tip so it won't go off in your pocket, lol when I got the knife out I went HEY it won't open...it's pretty stiff, but having a Boa once I looked on the back for a lock but didn't find it, after a brief search...found it and the flipper system works great, Great job Ken O and Kershaw, mine has silkscreened near the end of the handle SEP 02 nice that they coded each months work!

Michael, if you've not gotten one yet, do so, I do wish that I had gotten a Rainbow one but this will do for now.
