I met up with ManixJ today for a few hours of Trout fishing in Central Mass. It was a slow day but I got lucky and caught a nice fat Rainbow Trout. It weighed 2lbs on the BOGA grip.
The SAR4 worked great on sharpening the rod stakes I used. Gotta love the SAR4, a true winner
Today was one of those memorable days, good friend, good conversation, nice trout and Busse knives, what more could you ask for.
Enjoy.

Sounds like a great time. Can't wait till I can get out on the water. Beautiful trout. Great Knife.

Man, that is a fat trout! Mass is already open for fishing?

Yeah, they did away with the "trout season" thing years ago so you can fish all year around for anything. There are the typical restrictions on certain fish and their size limits but that is expected to keep the breeder stock alive.
They have been stocking trout like crazy from what their website says due to the warmer weather here. Our two big reserviors open for fishing this Saturday which is early due to the ice being gone. We are going next week, there are Salmon, lake trout, Smallmouth/Largemouth, etc....I cant wait.
I caught another nice trout this morning from the same spot. The water is still cold so the bite is slow at the moment.
Awesome day for sure.

Great shot Max! I always enjoy seeing your fishing pics from up North. The trout are going crazy down here in PA too!! I got 4 rainbows and 2 browns just yesterday, but nothing close to 2 lbs. Keep the pics comin'!

Tom, not as big as your last rainbow in this pond, but I'm sure you will top that 4 pounder this season ;) I'm not above taking your fish photos and drinking coffee with the sun on my face......
