hey folks...

winter is upon us... though a lot of you guys get snow, lots of it, we get lots of rain...:o it's been raining here off and on for the past 3 days now...

i finished this sheath the day before yesterday, while it was pouring down rain... the misses was busy and needed me out of her hair, my little one was sick and my older son wasn't home... so off to the garage i went to work...:)

i made this one for a friend named Ron... he's an awesome primitive archer/bowyer... he didn't make the knife.. i forgot who he said made it... the knife is really, really nice... i'm bummed i have to send it back to him...:o i've had it for a few months now and have had a great time playing with it... it's got a 7 in. wicked sharp, hand forged blade... made of 5160 i believe.. the finger gaurd is made from water buffalo horn and the handle is a nice curved section of deer antler...
anyhow.. i tried to make the sheath a little more rustic looking, to match the knife... i think they go together quite well... there's a few blems on it, but nothing too bad..what do you all think??

i hope you folks have a Merry Christmas and safe New Years..:)

cheers... mike

Looks like a nice, clean design and a real quality job. I'll bet once he carries it for a little while and it starts to get some experience marks it will be a real good match to the knife.

That's real nice (the sheath and the knife.)

I love rainy days in the shop...

Great work! Looks really good with the knife, which is pretty awesome, too. :D:thumbup:
