The Rajah series was not one I really "got". I had seen one or two, handled a Spartan(still not a big fan of the Spartan), but they never really clicked with me. I just didn't see the draw.

Well the local mom and pop shop picked up a Rajah 2 in CTS BD1. I handled it, and was sold. Its a huge knife to carry about, locks up like a tank, came as the sharpest factory edge I have ever handled, the stonewashing is immaculate, plunge lines are even, perfectly centered. And did I mention its huge?

It dwarfs my hands

Stonewashing is far superior to that old bead blasted stuff...

Carries comfortably

And disappears under a T-shirt

Happy, time for a cigar

I am just enjoying the factory edge for awhile before I go nuts with my EP.

congrats! Ya I LOVE my rajah

I EDC this almost daily since I got it. It carries really comfortably for what it is, however hard to believe is that.

Sweet! I've got the old bead blasted 8A one. I almost never carry it because Canadian city, but man, if only I could...

This morning I decided to take some pics inside and outside for this thread, and carried the Rajah among the gardening equipment. I love it so much even my cooking sauce has its name on it!

I could only take one pic before I left it semi-open and guillotined two of my fingers when it closed.

First time it happens to me with this blade since the first day, and I've carried and opened it A LOT. It was a matter of time, I suppose.

Nothing severe, one scratch and a deep cut almost to the bone. Bled like a pig but I think there is no tendon/nerve damage.
A true beast of a knife, sometimes (like most CS) dangerous to the owner as well. I've learned, and I hope you don't have to do it the same way!

I have both the Rajah 1 [discontinued] and the Rajah 2 and it's amazing how quickly both open when the thumb stud catches my pocket. If CS ever brings out a fully serrated version of the Rajah 2 I may just have to get that as well.

Hey thepeacent ....ouch!!! The price we pay for our sharp hobby.all my knives have seen blood....just that it's always my own lol heal well!

Ouch! Talk about a love bite. No worries about tendon damage on the top of the knuckles, none there to cut. All the important stuff is palm side. If it was open any more they might have been reattaching that finger though ;)

The shock and awe factor with these things is kind of insane. I showed some friends and they were blown away. I love it :p

One of the few knives that makes my Large Espada seem conservative and reasonable by comparison. Having played a lot of Far Cry 3, I came >this< close to buying a Rajah II in BD-1, but I really don't spend a lot of time hacking off limbs IRL.

My exact same thought process of wanting one of these..I NEED it, but but but I can't go all ghurka on anybody

I think you need to be more concerned about the Rajah going all ghurka on you lol

Honestly, the Rajah line is actually really, really good as a tool. If you're out hiking or something, but you didn't bring a machete(or can't legally carry one, say you're on a public hiking area or something) and you get into some unexpectedly thick brush, the Rajah 2 really can serve as a pocket machete. As for as the mega-folders go, it's actually less absurd than most.

I have a bunch of big C.S. folders, but the Raj-2 and Hold Out 1 are the only pieces that still give me that "holy crap" spark when snapped opened.
